A tragic incident has struck the western coast of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, where a powerful wave swept four individuals away from the shores of Los Gigantes, resulting in their deaths. One more person remains unaccounted for, sparking concern and swift action from local authorities.
The disaster unfolded shortly after 4 PM at a popular natural pool, frequented by both locals and tourists. Many visitors were enjoying the day when an unexpected, enormous wave crashed over the area, pulling them into the depths of the ocean. Emergency services reported that several people were carried off by the raging waters, and it’s believed that some of those affected include international tourists.
Despite rescue efforts, sad news emerged as a helicopter managed to recover one survivor, but unfortunately, another person was retrieved deceased from the sea. Official reports confirmed the tragic loss of two men and one woman—among them a 35-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman. Hours later, another female victim, who had initially been revived and airlifted to a hospital, succumbed to her injuries.
